Our current method of eating leads merely to accept unresponsible forms of abuse toward God's creation. This abuse deforms our created humanity, that is, our imago Dei.
Honestly, where can one live with some reasonable peace of mind and safety? It seems that there is no where in particular because there is always something to wipe out life. If not earthquakes, then there are diseases, storms, climatic changes, terrorist attacks, wars, plagues, asteroids, and etc. Yes, one can argue that life was created or evolved in this earth, but it surely looks like we aren't welcome in this world. Not only the general public needs to worry about health and finance but also worry about natural and human-made disasters.
The frustration of the middle class with the government has been building up for years. It is ashame that the middle class doesn't do anything about their frustration.
When you began to believe that divisive, hateful and unproductive rhetoric was the only talk in town; when you began to believe that selfish, self-centered and gluttony was the only lifestyle in town; when you began to believe that self-serving, individualist and apathy was the only virtue in town; when you began to believe and accept that the only worldview was the one that only looked after one's self interest and riches, you began to believe that humanity was lost forever. But then, you hear a story like that and a bit of hope arises from the ashes of individualistic-gluttony self-serving worldview that bombards us from the right, middle and left media. Perhaps, we can truly change and, hopefully, our next generation will see the mistakes of our parent's generation -- e.g., Wall-Street greedy, callous apathy for our fellow women and men, self-serving politicians, unconscientious judges, and many others.
As the world goes crazy for tuna, tuna marches slowly to its extinction. Apparently, it is getting harder and harder to catch "bluefin" as more and more commercial ships go after them so as to feed our appetite for sushi. It seems our gluttony is finally catching up with us as our irresponsibility leads us to our own extinction. I wonder whether we can eat ourselves out of this one?
I'm beginning to believe that his book, "Arguing with Idiots," is really an autobiographical book of his own stupidity. Actually, the book should be entitled as "The Idiot Who Made Big Because of Others Stupidity." Oh, no, that can't be, this means the real idiots are all of those who are arguing like the idiot. I knew that there was a conspiracy somewhere. You see, he wants us to be idiots because he wants us to buy into his stupidity so as to make money of our stupidity through his bêtise, which will make you an idiot but since you don't want to be the idiot you buy into the idea that all of those who doesn't buy into his "retardation" (this term is exactly the one used by Rush, so I'm excused to use it) is the real idiot and you the retard (once again as it was referred by Rush) are no longer the idiot but merely the retard (again, this term is exactly the same term used by Rush).

The last conscientious narrative speaker in our country. Can't imagine what our country will be when his voice goes silence. When William Sloane Coffin left us, the light became a lot dimmer now I can't imagine any light left after Moyers' voice is gone.
How long, O LORD, must I call for help, but you do not listen? Or cry out to you, "Violence!" but you do not save? (Hab. 1:2)

When will you, O God, hear our prayers once again?
How long will you fasten from us?
Your children cry day and night for deliverance, justice, peace.
But we walk in despair, violence, injustice.
How long must we await for your justice and peace?
Will we see your hand of salvation soon?
Where must we turn in our suffering?
For our neighbors mock in our steadfast patience for the King of Peace.
They scoff at us with great vengeance.
"See", they say, "where is this Elohim of love and justice?"
Yes, O my soul, where is the Rock of our salvation?
We stand and lift up our hands For the joy of the Lord is our strength We bow down and worship Him now How great, how awesome is He
And together we sing
chorus Holy is the Lord God Almighty The earth is filled with His glory Holy is the Lord God Almighty The earth is filled with His glory The earth is filled with His glory
